These single origin chocolate bars are made with Swiss chocolate produced with cacao beans from Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, and Madagascar. The organic Dominican Republic chocolate has notes of black tea and mild tobacco. The cacao from Bolivia grows wild and the ripened pods are transported by horses or dugout canoes; the chocolate has hints of lemon and grapefruit. The chocolate from Madagascar has tasting notes of fruit, roasted hazelnut, and forest berries.
For an added treat, pair these with the Single Origins Collection of bonbons. I especially like to try the bar first, savor the creaminess of the bonbon, then go back to the pure flavor of the chocolate. But they all taste delicious in whatever order you eat them.
